Hilary Rose is a southern charm that we cannot get enough of. From travel, to how-to’s, to beauty, Hilary catches the attention of a diverse audience with her insightful posts. Two of her noteworthy achievements include being featured on Southern Living Magazine and by one of the most prominent style icons of the 21st century, Lauren Conrad. We are obsessed with her Southern inspired style. It is no wonder Hilary has turned her various social media accounts into a full-fledged enterprise, literally. We had the pleasure of interviewing and getting to know one of Verb’s best.

How did you begin blogging?

What began as a hobby has now turned into a full time career for Hilary Rose. Making a name for herself in various social media platforms, Hilary has sparked the interest of over 90,000 individuals on Instagram alone.

“After I graduated from the University of Texas, I began to work at the Bradenton Museum in Austin, Texas. While I was there, I began to take up photography and became inspired by other bloggers who were taking advantage of the new media opportunities the internet was providing at the time.”

With a degree in Art History and Anthropology, it’s no wonder finding the picture-perfect shot comes rather naturally for Hilary.

Born in Georgia, Hilary prides herself for understanding proper etiquette and for emitting hospitable energy. Challenging her skills, Hilary is already taking on new goals by writing a book on a topic she is extremely passionate about.

“I was lucky to be taught proper etiquette from my parents, and nowadays, young women and men just aren’t taught those things anymore.”

Hilary’s plans to finish writing her book on etiquette, which she hopes will take her career to the next level. We believe it!

Her admiration for Southern culture pushed Hilary to make the move to Charleston, South Carolina. Southern and preppy with a bit of an edge is the best way to describe Hilary’s style. She believes her edgier side comes from living in a city like Austin for several years. However, like most people, her style is constantly evolving as she grows. We’re excited to see what sort of style inspirations she’ll find in the Holy City.

We couldn’t end an interview with a Style Icon like Hilary Rose without asking her what her favorite accessory is. Hilary shares that her go-to accessory is Gorjana jewelry.

“I like their jewelry because most of their pieces are delicate and gold, which goes with almost every outfit.”
